too many people always worry about some Big program, a Big idea, a Big thing of whatever nature, to get the earth back on track to a more sustainable living environment. They are somehow of the idea that Government, or some Big organization will be the leader, as if we are all sheep.
Rather the thing that each of us has to do is one little thing, or two little things, and if 300 million Americans, 100 million Mexicans and 30 million Canadians do one little thing then there, there is your Big thing.
Let a little less water go down the drain, collect it and toss it on the garden;
Use a resuable shopping bag;
Walk to the store;
Ride a bike to work;
Turn off a light not being used;
Plant a tree;
Get rid of your lawn:
see, little things, they add up to monumentous things, and no leader, no grand plan, no pushy bureaucrat, no law, is required.
Earthyacht is about each sailor on this Big Boat we call Earth does his little part in keeping the sails trimmed, the barnacles off the keel and the hatches battened down.
So get off the duff, and do enough,
for one little thing.

Very impressive points! You took the thoughts out of my head and put them to words so very poetically. What great inspiration, I am for sure off my duff and doin... just hope its a enough soon enough! Poco con poco...little by little!

After you get rid of your lawn plant a garden and fruit bearing trees,
use organic cleaners,
buy organic produce,
just a few more little things to keep the barnacles from building up.
